Auxilium-MBI Accelerator

The Auxilium-MBI (Massachusetts Biomedical Initiatives) accelerator is a three-month, in-person program supporting early-stage life science and healthcare startups. Companies selected to participate receive a $250,000 investment from Auxilium to support growth beyond early validation.

The program is designed for scalable companies developing innovative solutions across the life science and healthcare ecosystem, including digital health, med tech and medical devices, diagnostics, AI-enabled healthcare solutions, advanced life sciences tools and related industries.

The partnership brings together capital, hands-on mentorship, and access to MBI’s facilities, sector expertise, and established network of industry leaders, mentors, and investors creating a comprehensive platform for founders building life science and healthcare companies.

Program Structure

Workshops

Two mandatory, in-person workshops each week focused on execution, decision-making, and real startup challenges in life science and healthcare.

Mentorship

Each company is matched with dedicated mentors and gains access to a broader network from Auxilium and MBI for ongoing guidance and accountability.

Core Focus Areas

We help founders sharpen product and company strategy, validate markets, refine go-to-market plans, build strong business and operational foundations, and prepare for fundraising and investor positioning.

Pitch Preparation

Structured pitch development over 3–4 weeks, including narrative refinement, deck feedback, and practice sessions with mentors and external reviewers.

Culminating Pitch Event

The program concludes with a public pitch and demo event attended by investors, partners, and ecosystem leaders.
