Auxilium Worcester. What is it? Executive Director Zach Dutton drops by the Talk of the Commonwealth on the Radio Worcester Network to fill us in. The former leader of the Venture Forum, Dutton tells us Auxilium grew out of a conversation between himself and entrepreneur Cliff Rucker. Rucker is well known for bringing the Railers to Worcester as well as the Worcester Ice Center, Off The Rails, his involvement in The Palladium and more. Auxilium will have two components, the Innovation Studio, and the Accelerator. The Innovation Studio will help entrepreneurs bring their vision to fruition, through workshops, mentorship and investment.
The Accelerator will provide scalable startups with the workspace and resources, including initial investments of $250,000, needed to take their businesses as far as it can go. These are not grants this is angel investment, venture capital available here in Worcester.
The goal is to keep the businesses in Central Mass.
